We'll Drink To That! Smirnoff & HIP Digital Launch Weekly Music Rewards on Facebook
 
Digital Content Rewards on Facebook are the new way to engage consumers. Many brands have been aggressive on Facebook building large fan bases. But now what? That is a question that is often posed by brands to HIP Digital. Our answer is: Engage your fans on Facebook with digital content rewards.

Case in point, Hip Digital has partnered with Diageo to launch a music rewards campaign for the Smirnoff Brand. Initially, the music reward is activated on the Smirnoff "Win It, Get It, Share It" App , found inside their Facebook page, in the US and the UK. Hip Digital has pre-cleared music aligned with the Smirnoff Brand and created a playlist microsite integrated with the Facebook application. When users "Like" Smirnoff, they gain access to the customized Facebook App where they are then directed to a Smirnoff playlist powered by HIP.

Users can preview tracks and download one song every week. HIP refreshes the playlist each week, which ensures users come back, check out new music, get a free track every week, and continue to engage directly with the Smirnoff brand. Wall posts promoting the offer are driving a high level of interaction with fans on the Smirnoff Facebook page, making this an offer we can all toast! Hip will continue to roll out the promotion for Smirnoff in up to 35 additional countries throughout the course of the summer and into fall, capturing the attention of Facebook users and Smirnoff fans across the globe.

Did you know Hip Digital is a global provider of digital content distribution and promotions? Hip has been partnered with Sony Music in North America and Europe for a number of years. We provide a roster of technical and content services to power Sony campaigns globally.

Our latest endeavor with Sony is a robust digital music promotion for the European retailer Spar. Hip has deployed a music store for Spar with Sony content in Hungary. Customers at Spar are given download cards at the point of purchase to redeem at the Hip powered Starzone store. Millions of download cards are now in market. This is the first of what will be many store deployments across Europe in the coming year.
 
In the ancient times of Myspace and Friendster (what's that?), people got into social networking for self-expression. They set up a profile and said, "Here I am…be my friend". Adding friends and making comments was pretty much all one could do. You got 300 friends, now what? Facebook came along and gave you and your friends something to do together, and that changed everything. It started casual gaming; it started content sharing; it started engagement. It even started a revolution in Egypt.

Now brands are rushing to Facebook, adding fans, and all are saying the same thing: "Here I am. I have 1,000,000 fans". Now what?
