Peter Diemer, Executive Vice President, Strategy & Development
Peter Diemer, Executive Vice President, Strategy & Development, is responsible for Hip Digital Media's strategic market expansion, partner relations and development. Diemer brings over 25 years of experience of marketing, sales, and business development in the music, entertainment and technology industry to Hip Digital.
Previously, Diemer was Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Musicrypt Inc., a leading enabler of secure B2B internet media distribution where he was responsible for all sales, business development & marketing worldwide.
Prior to Musicrypt, Diemer held senior level executive positions for Capitol-EMI, MCA/Universal Records and EMI Music Canada, where he was instrumental in managing all artist and media relations, radio and television promotional efforts, and governmental affairs. He was also directly responsible for all related activities for major national artists and international superstars such as The Beatles, Garth Brooks, Coldplay, Norah Jones, Nickelback, Kylie Minogue, Sarah Brightman, K-OS, Radiohead, Tom Cochrane, Robbie Williams, Everclear, The Tea Party, Blur, The Beastie Boys, Anne Murray, Tim McGraw, and Leann Rimes. Diemer was responsible for other leading artists such as, U2, Melissa Etheridge, Steve Earle, The Tragically Hip, Huey Lewis and The News, Billy Idol, R.E.M. and Fine Young Cannibals during his tenure at Universal Music, (previously MCA Records).
Diemer has a degree in Television, Stage and Radio Arts, from S.A.I.T. (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology) in Calgary, Alberta. He's been actively involved with various music organizations, including The Juno Awards, where he chaired the Marketing Committee in 1997 & 2002. Diemer is involved with local charities and is President of the Callaghan Valley Sport and Cultural Society.
