Campaign Brief: McCain frozen foods wanted to increase sales and find a unique way to differentiate their “Rising Crust” pizzas from other frozen pizzas at major retailers such as Wal Mart and Loblaws.

Hip Digital Solution: Hip Digital created a custom branded movie streaming offer where every package offered families “pizza and a movie”.

McCain printed Hip Digital PIN codes on more than 3,000,000 pizzas that could be redeemed for an online move rental from a selection of titles from Warner Brothers Studio. The 25 top hits included: Oceans 11, The Matrix and Happy Feet among other top grossing Warner Brothers films. Hip Digital built a custom branded rewards store and McCain supported the program with national TV advertising and in-store signage.

Results: Launching in Jan 2012 the program has helped to generate a lot of media interest around this first of its kind promotion.
