This service provides access to Hip Digital’s playlist management and distribution technology. If you are looking to include customized playlists in your site or application then this service is for you. Playlists are managed using a central playlist management application and then distributed using the internet-standard RSS protocol.
PIN Code Acquisition & Redemption
This service provides access to Hip Digital’s powerful PIN code engine technology. With this service you can generate PIN codes to suit your promotional campaigns and then redeem those same PIN codes for downloads or even your own non-music products. You have the control to handle all of your non-currency transactional needs.
Full Catalog Search
Searching is a key feature of any music discovery experience and with the DME Search Service you have direct access to Hip Digital’s powerful catalog search engine. Whether it’s matching our catalog to yours or empowering your users to search and find their favorite music quickly and accurately this service covers it. Many of our customers use the DME Search Service to power their own internal tools which help them with catalog product matching and with management of their own music experiences. You can search on a variety of metadata including UPC, artist, album, track, genres, label ids, and much more. Search results include all metadata needed to display, preview, and ideally encourage a download on your site.
Full Catalog Browse
The DME Browse service provides the ability to browse relationships within the music metadata. For example, starting with a genre such as ‘Pop’ you could then get a list of all artists within that genre. Then, using the Browse service you could then get a list of all albums belonging to one of those artists. Finally you could then use the Browse service to get a list of all tracks on that album. So, you can see that the Browse service can construct a rich discovery experience where your users can follow relationships to the music they seek. As with the Search service, all metadata needed to display, preview, and ideally encourage a download on your site is provided by the Browse service.

Catalog Delivery
For the sophisticated customer, Hip Digital offers more direct access to our metadata. By far the vast majority of DME customers prefer the simplicity of our DME services but if you have needs beyond what they offer then consider what you could do with all of the catalog metadata using our DME Catalog Delivery Service. Metadata is delivered via secured FTP in XML files with regular delta updates keeping you up to date on the lasts new releases and changes in the catalog.
