Hip Digital joined forces with the Government of Canada and Frontside Promotions Group during South By Southwest 2007 in Austin Texas to promote music from participating Canadian artist. An industry-wide download program was launched in order to drive awareness to the Canadian Music Industry. Hip Digital created "Canadian Blast" branded download cards that were distributed to thousands of participants during the festival. Each card contained a single pin code to be applied towards the download of MP3's from 50 of Canada's leading artists.

This multi-tiered program included the creation of the "Canadian BLAST" branded music download store where users were prompted to select their music downloads, enter their pin code, and begin the redemption process. The store contains song previews, biographies and photos of all participating artists. Users selected to download one song at a time or download the tracks in bulk at once. Distributing the tracks in MP3 format supported limitless use and enjoyment of the songs.
